Work-in-progress “album art” for a two-part compilation I’m making for my girlfriend, traced from a tiny little photo. I might end up leaving some of the contour lines bare for the final version, because they’re looking pretty right now.
Anyway, guess the glam rocker! (You took too long to guess, it’s Marc Bolan.)

Becky Lovell, an awesome person who makes a lot of awesome things (including but not limited to awesome/cozy pop music and hilarious MS Paint comics) recently told the world that she would retire Birthday Salad, her Vine alter ego.

While I’ll admit that I never really got into Vine, I kept the app on my phone solely so I could waste time watching Birthday Salad posts whenever I needed a quick fix of something astounding. It’s a collection of snippets from weird cartoons, commercials and informercials, public access television, and/or home videos, and it’s impossible not to smile watching them. They’re set appropriately to a soundtrack of retro or easy listening songs, and cut with an impeccable sense of comic timing that emphasizes the absurdity of the material.

Gaze upon her works, ye mighty, and despair, because this is probably the best thing that will ever happen on the internet.
